zero one eighteen zero eight

A movie yet without a title. Or god knows maybe the date 01.18.08 is the title for this coming movie. For know it is still a mystery of what J.J Abrams is going to show us. But based from the trailer, my guessing it is going to be a good one.

With no idea who's in the film except for the director, Matt Reeves, all I know is this is a monster movie and it looks good.

See for yourself here.

Becoming Jane

Becoming Jane Starring: Anne Hathaway, James McAvoy, Maggie Smith

The film is about the early life of one of my favourite authors, Jane Austen! It's based mainly on her biographies and letters to her sister. The gorgeous Anne Hathaway plays Austen, and personally I'm glad that she will be playing a real legendary figure rather than her well-known fairytale princess-y characters as seen on The Princess Diaries movies and Ella Enchanted. My only hope is that the American actress will be convincing enough to play the famous English writer. *prays*

I'm looking forward to see the costumes =D I so love the late Georgian and Regency styles. They will be designed by Ms. Eimer Ni Mhaoldomhnaigh. I particularly have my eyes on this pale green dress.

Cantik kan???

Some people have questioned the historical accuracy of the film, though - one of the promotional posters shows Jane holding a fountain pen which was first invented in the 1850s (yes, I did my homework) when Jane had already passed away about 40 years before. Hm...

Oh well, I just hope that this one is worth watching. I have a feeling I'm going to love this one. Sigh..me and my historical romance.

Chi-ka-ka-kauk!

Transformers starring: Shia LeBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Rachael Taylor, Bernie Mac, Peter Cullen as the voice of Optimus Prime and Hugo Weaving as the voice of Megatron.

Just like everybody mentioned: More than meets the eye.

At last. Dapat tengok jugak. This movie is based on the Transformers franchise and it does not suck at all. Although I don't really like some of the robots' design, it was all done well. Major change was made on the designs: Optimus looks emo with a mouth, Megatron have teeth that reminds me of T-Rex and Bumblebee is no longer a Volkswagen Beetle but a Camero.
The story started when the Allspark (the item that gives these machine life) was discovered on earth and Megatron went to get it. But he crash landed in the Arctic Circle and was found by Capt. Archibald Witwicky. The map of the Allspark was imprinted on the captain's glasses, which years later is in the possesion of his great great grandson, Sam Witwicky (Shia LeBeouf).
On Sam's side of the story, he bought himself his first car which happens to be Bumblebee. From there, his adventure begins after Megatron wakes up and begins the war between the Autobots and the Decepticons.
This movie is just good and satisfying. Now I's glad that Michael Bay didn't rape my childhood (as mentioned on AddamBlack's blog) and Shia is a good actor. He actually moves the story. A tremendous acting by the young actor makes the movie a damn good movie.

Oh and Megan Fox is a hottie.

The story of McClane's life

Die Hard starring: Bruce Willis, Alan Rickman, Reginald VelJohnson, Bonnie Bedelia, Alexander Godunov, Paul Gleason, William Atherton, and De'voreaux White.

The one that start it all. This movie is a blast. With explosions and gunfires all around. Oh, and Bruce Willis still got hair.
This movie first came out in 1988. In this movie John McClane (Bruce Willis), a NYPD police officer, is in LA to meet up with his wife for Christmas at her Christmas party in Nakatomi Plaza. That is where his wife, Holly Gennero McClane (Bonnie Bedelia), works. While everybody is having a great time in the party, a group of terrorist lead by Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman) is taking their position in the building.
So 12 terrorists are taking over the building and all the hostages have is McClane.
This may look like a typical Hollywood action movie, but Bruce Willis makes it more interesting. A sempoi guy with a foul mouth. Sounds typical right? Not if he's barefooted in the whole movie. But seriously. Mamat nih susah mati.

Die Harder starring: Bruce Willis, William Sadler, Reginald VelJohnson, Bonnie Bedelia, Dennis Franz, and John Amos

2 years after the Nakatomi Plaza incident, McClane is now stuck at the airport which is taken over by a group of terrorist. And this time the terrorists are ex-armies. He has to take care of the terrorist or his wife will crash after her plane flying around the air, waiting for the order to land. This time the actions and the suspense is better than the first movie, both plot wise and cinematography wise are better.
Based from the novel 58 minutes by Walter Wager which in the novel the policeman needs to stop the terrorist within 58 minutes. The movie version is rather different. Instead of 58 minutes, McClane needs to do it within 2 hours.
It's Yippie-Ki-Yay, all over again!

Die Hard With A Vengeance starring: Bruce Willis, Samuel Jackson, Jeremy Irons, Larry Bryggman, Graham Greene, and Colleen Camp.

The year is 1995 and this time McClane is being called by a terrorist by the name Simon Gruber (Jeremy Irons), younger brother of Hans Gruber from the first movie. Everything started with a bang and McClane was called in by a person who calls himself Simon. Simon gives tasks and puzzles to McClane in order to reduce more explosions threatened by Simon. And through the first task, McClane met Zeus Carver (Samuel L. Jackson) where he helped McClane from being beat up by a group of niggers. After that, they have to team up to go against Simon which is actually planning something more than just blowing stuff.

These all 3 movies are fun to watch back-to-back. Just like I did. The tense is so worth it and Bruce Willis did a tremendous job being John McClane.
